Join Our Fleet Repair Team
Legacy Auto & Fleet is hiring experienced diesel and fleet mechanics in Akron, OH and across Northeast Ohio. Work on real commercial vehicles, vans, box trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment, from a fully equipped garage and in the field.
What Working at Legacy Auto & Fleet Involves
We diagnose and repair commercial fleet vehicles, vans, box trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment, for small business fleets across Akron, Tallmadge, and the wider Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania region. Our work splits between our equipped garage at 449 Munroe Falls Road, Tallmadge, OH and mobile service calls at customer locations, so technicians work both from a bay and out in the field. Legacy Auto & Fleet was founded in 2022, and we value hands-on mechanical experience over paperwork-heavy environments.
Day to day, our technicians handle brake, suspension, engine, and diesel diagnostic jobs, DOT inspection prep, and parts sourcing from our on-hand inventory. This is varied, hands-on work, not routine oil changes.
Mechanics who thrive here are comfortable working independently on a mobile call, communicating directly with fleet owners, and taking ownership of a repair from diagnosis to completion.
Common Questions From Mechanics Considering Legacy Auto & Fleet
Do I need ASE certification to work at Legacy Auto & Fleet?

Our technicians split time between the Tallmadge garage and on-site mobile calls to customer locations across Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. This role suits someone who is comfortable working in both a fixed bay and out in the field. What kinds of vehicles will I be working on?
Our technicians work on commercial vans, box trucks, trailers, light-duty fleet vehicles, and heavy equipment used by small business fleets, not personal passenger cars. This gives you exposure to a wide range of diesel and mechanical systems.
